Horseradish Sauce for Prime Rib

This horseradish sauce for prime rib is made with a few simple ingredients and prepared horseradish, so you can make it in less than 3 minutes! Serve this easy homemade horseradish sauce with your favorite prime rib roast, steak sandwiches, or other cuts of beef.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet and spicy mustard *We like Woeber's Sandwich Pal Sweet & Spicy Mustard
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix together well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spoon horseradish sauce in to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • It's recommended to prepare the horseradish sauce at least a few hours before serving to allow the flavors to develop. You can also make it a day or two in advance and store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container until ready to serve.
  • Horseradish sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Give the sauce a good stir before serving to make sure that all of the ingredients are incorporated and the sauce is a good consistency.
  • This sauce is also great on a steak sandwich, or served with smoked brisket or steak.
